Executive Bio

Steve Russo - Founder, President and CEO

Steve Russo is a seasoned veteran of the accessories industry. A graduate of the Wharton School of Business, Russo spent ten years working diligently to learn every aspect of the accessories business. The experience he gained early in his career fueled his ambition to push the envelope and strike out on his own.

In April 1997, Russo founded FAB/Starpoint, focusing primarily on private label accessories for retailers and a select group of licensed products. The business benefited from Russo’s tenacity. Gaining market share in the crowded accessories arena took constant and thorough retailer service, and above all – patience. Russo built FAB/Starpoint by offering fashion forward product to feed anticipated customer and retailer demand, with a major focus on building the specialty store sector. The acquisition of Pyramid Accessories in 2003 allowed Russo to expand FAB’s licensed offerings to bring FAB/Starpoint to the number one position in the youth accessory market. Then in 2010 the ultimate expansion into the luxury accessories world occurred with the creation of Artisan House—stemming from the amalgamation of two illustrious designer brands, Isabella Fiore and Carlos Falchi. Click here for more information on Artisan House.

Russo sees FAB/Starpoint growing primarily from constant appreciation and nurturing of its three key assets: licensor relationships, retail relationships and company associates. Russo expects his company to consistently exceed the expectations of its business partners, making FAB/Starpoint a reliable and trusted partner for licensors and retailers. But Russo knows that he must also exceed the expectations of his team, offering an autonomous but supportive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
